Canon is alle informatie die officieel wordt gerekend als een deel van het Star Wars universum. Er bestaan verschillende 'graden' van Canon.
Uiteraard is informatie afkomstig van George Lucas of die te maken heeft met de films belangrijker dan informatie uit leesboeken of comics.
