Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary is een visueel sterk sourceboek dat werd gepubliceerd door DK Publishing. Het was één van hun eerste Star Wars boeken dat verscheen.
The Visual Dictionary verklaart details aan de hand van grote en duidelijke foto's. Meestal gaat het om personages, droids, wapens, accessoires, kledij, creatures en aliens. Soms komen er ook voertuigen of schepen aan te pas. Naast de foto's is het boek uiteraard ook voorzien van tekst en allerlei interessante feiten.
